I aim to build reliable visual systems that understand, restore, and create images and videos under real-world conditions.
I am currently a Professor in the College of Computer Science at Nankai University, where I lead the π Research Group, and concurrently serve as a Professor at Shenzhen Loop Area Institute (SLAI).
Before joining Nankai University, I served as a Research Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at MMLab@NTU and S-Lab, Nanyang Technological University, working closely with Prof. Chen Change Loy. I was also a Postdoctoral Researcher at City University of Hong Kong, where I worked closely with Prof. Sam Kwong.
I received my Ph.D. from Tianjin University under the supervision of Prof. Jichang Guo and completed joint doctoral training at the Australian National University, working closely with Prof. Fatih Porikli.
